Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs

I was about to put my ribs in the slow cooker.
I like to use Coca Cola in mine. But, I didn't have any.
Soooo....I decided to check out a few of my favorite blogs
and I found this one. Lo and behold...she had a solution to my problem.
She used Root Beer over her ribs!
Wa problem is solved!
Thank you Beyer Beware for coming to my rescue!

Slow Cooker Country Style Pork Ribs

3 1/2 lbs Country Style Pork Ribs
Pork Rub
1 cup BBQ sauce (spicy or not)
1 cup Root Beer
1 onion, sliced

Sprinkle both sides of ribs with pork rub.
Place ribs in bottom of slow cooker.
Add 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and root beer.
Place remaining ribs on top.
Add remaining sauce and root beer.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

You will have tender, fall off the bone, delicious ribs!

  1. That's a good idea especially if you have all the time in the world to prepare lunch. I think the meat will really be tender using a slow cooker because it can be equally and thoroughly cooked. Yum!
