ReplyDeleteMy favorite ornament is one my son made me in 1st grade. It was a snowman made from cotton balls. I wrapped it in a plastic bag so that we could keep it and every year we place it on the tree.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite ornament is actually a piece of wood that my kids colored a Santa on and then they wrote their names and the date is 1991. I love it and it sits in my tree each year.

My favorite thing to put up is my stocking that was hand knitted for me when I was born. Growing up I used to put it one just to hear the jingle bell at the end. This stocking is 47 years young and full of memories.

Thanks for hosting such a fun giveaway. My favorite decoration is a big tall Santa that my grandma got for me about 10 year ago. He used to be fiber optic but quit working so now I just use him sitting on top my bar. He reminds me daily of my grandma & how wonderful she has always been to me!

My favorite Christmas ornament is the memory ornament for my brother and sister. I miss them everyday and as I hang the ornament I feel them with me.

I have so many. We have a very old ceramic Santa that belonged to my husbands grandmother.
ReplyDeleteShe was born in 1900. But I am thinking that a paper mache nativity that belonged to my Mother and Father is certainly one of my favorites!
My favorite Christmas decoration is a Santa face that you hang on the wall from the 50's and it lights up. It belonged to my husbands parents, it is so cool! I love the old stuff!

My favorite decoration I use every year is a card. My Grandma passed away on Christmas Eve 1996. The day after Christmas I received her card. She had it mailed out the day before she passed away. I hang it up each year with the rest of our Christmas cards to remember her.

ReplyDeleteOh blessed day to visit you! I think that my current favorite decoration is the garland made with real mittens actually belonging to members of the family. If I had a second choice, I'd go with teh vintage ornaments that belonged to my great-great grandparents and my great-grandparents. They're so special, I keep them in an apothecary jar. My favorite Christmas decoration is a big globe that has a winter scene painted on it that holds a large candle. It has pinecones painted on and I like seeing them iround the holidays.

We put clear lights on it and red ball ornaments with all the other different ornaments and it's just beautiful to me!

ReplyDeleteHi. My favorite decoration was Santa blowing bubbles. You plug it in, put some bubble stuff in and turn it on. Santa would raise his arm to his face with the bubble wand and a puff of air would blow out of his mouth and blow bubbles. Everyone thought it was cute especially the kids. Don't have it anymore because it burned out for being used so much.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite ornament are actually two which I have for my two daughters. My oldest daughter Angelica had a little "stuffed" baby's 1st Christmas ornament tha I bought right before she was born(in 1980) and the second is a handmade picture frame that my youngest made(with her picture in it)in kindergarten. Both are grown with three little ones of their own!

ReplyDeleteMy husband is a firefighter/EMT here in Texas. My favorite Christmas decorations are my firefighter ornaments. One is a boot with a hose nozzle and an American flag sticking out of it, and another is a set of bunker gear the same color as my husband's. If his helmet wasn't so heavy it would be the tree topper!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas decoration is a reindeer lapel pin made from clothespins. My youngest son, who is now serving in the US Air Force, made this for me 20 years ago and I have worn it every year. This year it meant more to me that ever as this was the first Christmas he has not been home to celebrate with the family.
