So, you ask....

What recipe did I chose to bake today?

Whisk together the first three ingredients

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy

After mixing in the vanilla, add the beaten egg

Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, 

beginning and ending with the flour mixture

Spoon in to a buttered and floured 9 in round cake pan

and top with raspberries and sugar. 

My raspberries were saved and frozen after big sale this past 

summer so they're not so firm

Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes...

I don't know if I can wait that long!

Invert onto a cake plate

Oh my....

just look at the raspberry goodness in this cake!
