Crescent Breakfast Casserole - Early Bird Review and Giveaway!

It seems like forever and a day since 

I've hosted an Early Bird Review. I've missed it!
There are several of us that host reviews for Gooseberry Patch.
One of the sweet ladies at Gooseberry Patch, Jen Conner, chooses the books for us and we wait patiently 'in line' to host the review. It's always exciting to see which books she chooses for us to review!
You don't know how happy I was to be chosen for 101 Farmhouse Favorites...I absolutely LOVE the 101 series that Gooseberry Patch has published! Of course, I love all of their cookbooks, don't get me wrong. I own practically all of them! But, I'm pretty fond of photos in the cookbooks. Plus, there is just something about these cookbooks besides the photos...the design...artwork and the spiral binding, the size of the book and of course, the recipes. 

Oh my....you're going to love these recipes!

My favorite meal of the day is breakfast.
Everyone is out of the house so fast in the morning, 

I rarely cook.
A bowl of oatmeal or cold cereal is about all we have time for on weekdays...

so I look forward to weekends and breakfasts like this one.

Crescent Breakfast Casserole

8 oz tube refrigerated crescent rolls

6 to 8 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup milk

3/4 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese

1/2 cup bacon or ground pork sausage,

cooked and crumbled
(I used bacon)

salt and pepper to taste

Line the bottom and sides of a lightly greased 13"x9" baking pan with unrolled crescents, pinching seams together to seal.
(I'm thinking that next time I'll use an 8 x 11 baking dish,
so the casserole will be thicker.)
In a bowl, mix together remaining ingredients.

Pour over dough in baking pan.

Bake at 350* for about 20 minutes, 

until golden and center is set.

Serves 8
