Early Bird Review and Giveaway!!

A couple of months ago, I received the email I had been hoping for...I was asked if I was interested in becoming an Early Bird Reviewer for Gooseberry Patch! Of course, I replied (with a YES!)  right away! I was and still am so excited! Any one that knows me, knows that I am a big fan of Gooseberry Patch... I haven't found a cookbook yet that I don't like!

But, cookbooks aren't all they publish. Did you know that they also carry Gifts and Crafts books also? You'll definitely need to visit their website so you can see for yourself! I've purchased a few of them already, but I have more on my list to buy.
So, when I received my first book to review (and one to give away) I was excited...again!
Gooseberry Patch has started a series called Cookbooks For A Cause. The first two books are Recipes for Kindness and Recipes for Saying Thanks. Awesome little books! And if you visit their website, you will learn that if you purchase the books in this series partial proceeds benefit Feeding America, the nation's leading hunger-relief charity!

And like any other Gooseberry Patch cookbook, 

you will find whimsical artwork and heartfelt sayings and stories.

The recipe for  

Mini Sausage Muffins 

from the Heartfelt Deliveries section

was the first one I wanted to try. 

They were perfect along side a batch of scrambled eggs!

Mini Sausage Muffins

1 lb ground pork sausage, browned and drained

10-3/4 oz. can Cheddar Cheese Soup

1/2 cup, plus 2 T. water

3 cups biscuit baking mix

Mix all ingredients well.

Fill lightly-greased mini muffin cups 2/3 full. 

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes, or until golden.

Makes about 4 dozen.

These muffins were so good!
They reminded me of Sausage Cheese Balls,
but a little more on the milder side.
