Hot Mexican Cheese Dip

Yesterday was my son's 32nd birthday....
yea, I feel really old now!

You've heard the expression...
"the way to a man's heart is through his stomach"...
that's stands true for my son too!
He loves to eat...
so my momma treated him with this dip for his birthday.
He loved it!
She certainly knows how to make him smile from the belly up!
Rotten kid....

Hot Mexican Cheese Dip

1 lb hamburger
1 lb pork sausage, mild
1 small onion, diced
1 TBSP cumin
3 can Rotel
2 lb box Velveeta cheese

Brown hamburger, sausage and onion in a medium size skillet.
Drain.
Add cumin and Rotel.
Heat thoroughly.
Turn to medium/low heat.
Cut cheese into 1 inch cubes and add to sausage mixture.
Stir until well blended.

OR

After browning the meat and adding the cumin and Rotel,
you can then pour it in to your slow cooker.
Turn on high heat.
Add the cheese.
Stir occasionally.
When cheese is melted, turn slow cooker to low or warm setting.

Tastes great over all types of Mexican dishes,
as well as being a great dip with tortilla chips!
